Stories, Custom Chat Folders and Golden Founder
Stories are here. Post a photo or a short video, set how long it stays up, and everyone who knows you sees it in the tray above their chat list. Alongside that, custom folders finally let you organize your conversations the way you actually think about them.

Stories
Tap your avatar at the top of the chat list to post a story. You can use a photo from your gallery or shoot one in the moment. Stories stack in a tray above your conversations, and your contacts see them the same way you see theirs.
When you post, you pick how long the story lives: 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or keep it up until you remove it yourself. After it expires it is gone. You can see who viewed each one, and you can delete any story before it expires.
The story editor lets you add text in any color and size, drop stickers into the frame, and draw freehand on top of the image. Stickers and text can be repositioned, resized and rotated after placing them.
Custom chat folders
The tab strip at the top of your chat list now supports folders you create yourself. Name a folder anything you like, then add any combination of individual chats, groups and channels to it. A chat can belong to more than one folder at the same time.
The default All Chats tab stays in place. Your custom folders sit beside it. Unread counts show per folder so you always know where the activity is without having to look at every tab.
Golden Founder
The first 10,000 people to register on DChat receive the Golden Founder badge permanently attached to their account. It marks you as someone who was here before this became well known.
Golden Founder accounts get every premium feature unlocked with no time limit and no subscription. That includes everything in this update and everything we add in the future that sits behind a premium gate. If you are already registered, your account is already counted. If you are not, now is the moment.
Earned, not paid for
Golden Founder members get all of these features at no cost, permanently. For everyone else who joins after the first 10,000, these features will be available using the app's built-in credit system. You earn credits through daily use, completing in-app tasks, and engaging with the community. The goal is that anyone who uses DChat regularly can access everything.
Also in this update
Media sending to contacts you have not previously exchanged messages with now completes correctly. Live broadcast posts from channels render inline in the chat. Voice message playback speed control. Minor fixes to the story tray animation, folder strip touch targets and notification reply from locked screen.
